Outcomes of the implementation of small grants program in Tajikistan

In accordance with the resolution of the Intergovernmental Commission on Sustainable Development of Central Asia, a small grant program (SGP) was initiated in all of the Central Asian countries called “Sustainable Development of Central Asian Communities.” This program represents a part of the regional plan of actions on the environmental protection program in Tajikistan. The contest was conducted with the financial support of UNEP, based in Bangkok. The program administration in Tajikistan was done by the FSCI. In the process of developing and registering grant applications, the FSCI provided technical, logistical and consulting support. From 17 proposals presented to the SGP from all regions of Tajikistan 3 most critical projects, agreeable to the criteria of proposals, were selected by the national Jury.
