Ecological NGOs workshop, devoted to discussing the outcomes of the Central Asian Intergovernmental Commission’s session on sustainable development

Ecological NGOs workshop took place in Dushanbe on 7 July 2007. Workshop was devoted to discussing the outcomes of the Central Asian Intergovernmental Commission’s session on sustainable development held in Bishkek on 21 June 2007. The workshop was organized as part of the FSCI initiative. The FSCI chairperson is the board member of the Public Council of Intergovernmental Commission on Sustainable Development of Central Asia on behalf of Tajikistan. Among the invited to the workshops were leading specialists and leaders of the Republic’s Department of agriculture and environmental protection, affiliated state and international organizations, NGOs and the media. There were lively discussions on the creation and activity of the Public Council on sustainable development in Central Asia and in Tajikistan.
