International Conference “The Earth Charter and Sustainable Development of Tajikistan”

The international conference “The Earth Charter and Sustainable Development of Tajikistan” took place on 22-23April 2011 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The conference was organized by the Public Ecological Association of the Republic of Tajikistan “Foundation to Support Civil Initiatives” (FSCI, Dastgirie-Center) with assistance and financial support of the National Commission of Tajikistan for UNESCO. The General Conference of UNESCO has officially recognized the Earth Charter as a forum for Education on Sustainable Development and included in scope the 10-year implementation plan on education for sustainable development, endorsed by the UN. The conference was devoted to the major international event – the Earth Day.

International Conference “Stimulation of the society, science and NGOs potential for environment and biodiversity protection”

International Conference “Stimulation of the society, science and NGOs potential for environment and biodiversity protection” was organized and conducted Institute of water problems, hydroenergetics and ecology of the Academy of Science of the Republic of Tajikistan under the financial support of the National Commission of Tajikistan for UNESCO. The member of FSCI: Burkhanova M., Rakhimov Sh. were presented report “Questions on estimating payment for ecosystem services and determination of economical loss, connected with water (as an example on Varzob river).

The International Conference “Integration of ecosystem services into New Independent States economics”.

The international conference was held on 28-29 March 2011 in Moscow, Dubrovskiy township. Conference was organized by the Center of wild nature protection (Russia) and Institute of ecological problems and evolution by name of A.N.Severchev , Academy of Science, Russia with financial support of UNEP. FSCI representative took place in the work of the conference.
