Implementation of GHS strategy in Tajikistan

Within the framework of the project “Support to the implementation of SAICM and GHS Strategy in Tajikistan” in September 2014 was prepared the National Report “Implementation of GHS Strategy in Tajikistan. “Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management” (SAICM) was developed and signed by the final documents of the UN conferences on Environment and Development (Agenda on 21 century, Declarations of the World Summit on Sustainable Development, Rio +10, Rio +20, etc.). GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals) is one of the main components of SAICM. GHS strategy in Tajikistan was developed by a working group consisting of experts and professionals from various sectors of society in the country (the state, science, NGOs).

Разработанная Стратегия внедрения СГС в Таджикистане делает первую попытку внедрения в стране принципов СГС, освещения основных пробелов на этом пути, разработки рекомендаций. Целью Стратегии СГС в Таджикистане является изменение политики в вопросах управления химическими веществами в Таджикистане. Национальный отчет направлен на рассмотрение и обсуждение членам Координационного Комитета, созданного в рамках проекта из представителей различных министерств и ведомств, занимающихся вопросами управления химическими веществами в Таджикистане.
