The Initiative “Poverty and the Environment” (IPE) in Tajikistan, results and plans for work on the second phase of IPE

Workshop on the implementation of the first phase of the Initiative “Poverty and the Environment” for the period 2011-2012 and a plan for еру follow IPE was held on November 27 in Dushanbe. On the results of the first phase of the project should include the integration of poverty and environment in the plans of districts’ development of Sughd region, medium-term Tajikistan strategy’ development on 2013-2015, the creation of micro-loan funds for the implementation of environmentally friendly projects, conducting damage assessment of land degradation in the IPE pilot areas. FSCI representative took part in the workshop, developing recommendations and proposals for the second phase of the project.
