Regional CA conference among the national experts on the local environmental action plans took place in Almaty on May 14-15, 2007

The conference of national experts on the local environmental actions plans (LEAP) took place in the Regional Ecological Center of Central Asia (REC) on May 14-15th 2007. The primary goal of the conference was to review and discuss report and project proposals on the LEAP (environmental management program). Report on LEAP development in The Central Asia region will present as the category III document at the 6th Pan-European Conference of the Ministers of Environmental Protection in Belgrade. The representative of FSCI, who is responsible of the national coordination on the environmental management program in Tajikistan, participated in the conference. The representatives of the state authorities, environmental NGOs and the leaders of partnering projects in the CA region also took part in the conference.
