The formal association between Earth Charter International and Foundation to support civil initiatives is established in June 2008

The purpose of this agreement is to establish a formal association between ECI and Foundation to support civil initiatives, to facilitate the appropriate dissemination and use of the Earth Charter, and to help prevent its misuse. This Agreement shall be effective for a period of four years from the date of its execution and builds on a shared interest on the vision of the Earth Charter and both parties recognize the need to have mutual trust in order to collaborate.
