Webinar Methods for collecting and processing information from the public about the effects of chemicals (IPEN, 04.27.2018)

The Eco-Accord Center (IPEN focal point in the EECCA region) met on April 27, 2018 the webinar for the members of the international IPEN network to discuss the methodology for collecting and processing information on the effects of chemicals for and on the public. The representative of FSCI made a presentation on the development of the GHS Strategy in Tajikistan and the issues of public perception of the labeling of chemicals.

International scientific and practical conference "Water for sustainable development of Central Asia" (Dushanbe, March 23-24, 2018)

The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Water for Sustainable Development of Central Asia" was organized by the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. The conference was devoted to the launching of the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028", initiated by the Government of Tajikistan. The representative of FSCI took part in the conference.

Regional meeting of representatives of CEE and CCA countries to discuss the future of SAICM beyond 2020 (19-21 February, 2018, Poland)

Regional meeting of representatives from Central and Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (CEECCA) countries working in the field of chemical safety was held on 19-21 February, 2018 in Poland (Lodz). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the future of Strategic Approach on International Chemicals Management (SAICM) beyond 2020. The head of FSCI took part in the regional meeting.

The first National Forum of the Republic of Tajikistan "Effective cooperation: providing opportunities for sustainable development of local communities" was held on 14-15 December 2017 in Dushanbe. The forum was organized by the Local Development Committee under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, NGO Fidokor (Tajikistan), Association for the Development of Civil Society "ARGO" (Kazakhstan). Regional multilateral consultations ahead of the UN Environment Assembly (Hungary, 9-10 November, 2017)

Consultations of public environmental organizations in Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia on the eve of the third session of the UN Environment Assembly were held in Szentendre (Hungary) on 9-10 November 2017. Consultations were organized by the Regional Environmental Center of the European Region under the auspices of UNEP. The representative of FSCI took part in consultations from NGOs sector in Tajikistan.

A regional meeting of representatives of IPEN non-governmental organizations in the Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) countries was held in Yerevan on 28-29 September, 2017. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the representatives of IPEN member organizations on the current and new activities of the international information network on the reduction of chemical pollutants.
