Sub-regional training “IWRM as a tool for climate change adaptation in CA region”, Sub-regional workshop “Establishing the NETWORK FOR IWRM Capacity Development in Central Asia” (24-27 September 2012)

Seminars on promoting Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and Fostering Transboundary Dialog in Central Asia were organized under support from European Union and UNDP Cap-Net Network.

The goal of sub-regional training “IWRM as a tool for climate change adaptation in Central Asia” – is increasing the understanding of climate change impacts on water resources. It will help to identify actions related to more efficient and flexible allocation systems and better investment in infrastructure, both to improve access to water and reduce risks from climate change.

Sub-regional workshop “Establishing the network for IWRM Capacity Development in Central Asia” was aimed to agree on setting up the network for IWRM Capacity Development in the region, discus and agree on its operation and related activities for Central Asia to strengthen cooperation and interaction among different stakeholders and partners. The participants of seminars are the higher education and training institutions, water management organizations, resources centers for water, professionals, NGOs and experts. Representative of FSCI was invited to these events and became as the member of International Cap-Net network.
