Meetings of the Interdepartmental Committee on Chemicals and Waste Management

Within the framework of the project “Strengthening national capacity in the field of implementation and ratification of Conventions on Chemicals and waste in Tajikistan”, meetings of the Interdepartmental Committee on Chemicals and Waste Management of the Republic of Tajikistan were held: March 10, 2021, June 30, 2021, October 19, 2021, February 8, 2022, May 19, 2022.

The programs of the ICCW meetings include discussion by ICCW members of the stages and indicators of the project “Strengthening national capacity in the field of implementation and ratification of the Conventions on Chemicals (XB) and Waste in Tajikistan (2021-2022)”. The final documents of the ICC meetings are regularly covered on the project website www.brs.tj

The indicators of the project implementation are:

– State institutions will strengthen their capacity, be able to work effectively, be accountable and sustainable in the long term through the activities of the Interdepartmental Committee on Chemicals Management

 – Reports have been prepared on gaps in legislation and legal documents in the field of ratification of the Rotterdam Convention and accession to the Minamata Convention.

– The national website of the project on the rational management of chemicals and waste has been created www.brs.tj

– Increased awareness of national, local authorities, commercial structures, the public and other stakeholders
