A round table “Active Youth Involvement in the Public Life of Tajik society: Theory and Practice” took place in Dushanbe city
A round table “Active Youth Involvement in the Public Life of Tajik society: Theory and Practice” took place in Dushanbe city on 25 December 2007. The FSCI chairperson, also a member of the Secretariat of the Central Asian Public Council on Sustainable Development, took part in the round table. The chairperson presented a number of proposals for increasing the role of youth in the public life of Tajik society.
As the people under the age of 30 comprise about 60% of the entire Tajik population, their involvement and role in the republic’s public life is an issue of outmost importance and priority. The organizer of the round table was the State Committee on Youth, Sport and Tourism, which is a part of the Tajik Government and Public Organization “Association of Youth Organizations in Tajikistan”.
